With the acceleration of urbanization and the surge in car ownership, traditional parking lots face pain points such as long queues, time-consuming parking searches, and cumbersome payment processes. The introduction of RFID technology has provided a key solution for the upgrading of smart parking lots, among which the technical support from RFID tag manufacturers and RFID label suppliers is the core force driving parking lots to achieve full-process automation.
In the operation of smart parking lots, the application of RFID tags runs through the entire process of vehicle entry and exit, parking space management, and fee settlement. When a vehicle enters the parking lot, the passive RFID label pre-installed on the car window is quickly identified by the reader at the entrance. The system can automatically record the license plate information and entry time without the need for the vehicle to stop, with an identification speed of only 0.1 seconds, significantly reducing the queuing time at the entrance. After entering the parking lot, RFID reading and writing devices distributed in each parking space can sense the tag signal in real time, synchronize the parking space occupancy status to the management system, and guide the driver to find an empty parking space quickly through the guidance screen, solving the problem of "difficulty in finding a parking space". When leaving, the system automatically calculates the fee based on the stay time recorded by the RFID windshield tag and supports seamless payment, realizing the fully unmanned operation of "entry-parking-exit", with efficiency 3 times higher than that of traditional parking lots.
Behind this series of efficient applications lies the in-depth technical research of RFID tag manufacturers. High-quality RFID tags need to be anti-interference, high and low temperature resistant, waterproof and dustproof to adapt to the complex environments of parking lots such as outdoors and underground. Professional RFID tag factories will customize the reading distance (usually 3-10 meters) and communication frequency (mostly using UHF) of the tags according to the needs of the parking lot scenario, and optimize the pasting stability of the tags to ensure that they do not fall off easily during long-term use. For example, the high-temperature resistant RFID tags developed by some suppliers can work normally in the temperature range of -40℃ to 85℃, perfectly adapting to the parking lot environment exposed to intense sunlight in summer and severe cold in winter; the anti-metal interference tags can avoid the impact of vehicle metal parts on the signal, increasing the identification accuracy to more than 99.8%.
Today, smart parking lots have become an important part of urban transportation intelligence, and the innovation capabilities of RFID tag manufacturers and RFID tag suppliers directly determine the intelligence level of parking lots. In the future, with the development of IoT technology, RFID tags will also be combined with video surveillance and AI algorithms to realize more functions such as parking space reservation, reverse car search, and vehicle safety early warning, further improving the operational efficiency of parking lots and user experience.
