RFID Tags Empower Multi Industry Intelligence

RFID tags, as the core carrier of the IoT perception layer, have broken through the application limitations of traditional barcodes by virtue of their characteristics such as non-contact identification, batch reading, rewritable information, and strong environmental adaptability. They have achieved in-depth penetration in many industries such as retail, logistics, manufacturing, medical care, and agriculture, becoming a key force driving the digital transformation of industries. Through collaboration with reading and writing equipment and management systems, they accurately link physical entities with digital information, building a basic data link for the "Internet of Everything".
The retail industry is a typical application scenario for RFID retail tags. In store management, staff can complete the inventory of thousands of products in a few minutes with the help of handheld readers, which is dozens of times more efficient than manual work, and the accuracy rate is close to 100%. For high-value products such as jewelry and luxury goods, RFID tags can be embedded in the products to realize anti-counterfeiting and traceability. Consumers can read the tags with their mobile phones to query information such as the origin of the products and circulation records, effectively curbing the circulation of counterfeit goods. On the supply chain side, UHF clothing labels realize the full-process visual tracking of commodities from factory delivery, logistics and transportation to store shelving, helping enterprises accurately grasp inventory dynamics and reduce the risks of overstocking and out-of-stock.
In the field of logistics and supply chain, RFID UHF tags have completely changed the traditional mode of "manual verification and paper records". In the warehousing link, when goods with RFID tags enter the warehouse, fixed readers can automatically identify the goods information and complete the warehousing registration without manual intervention; during transportation, the combination of tags and GPS technology can feedback real-time data such as the location, temperature and humidity of the goods, providing guarantee for the cold chain transportation of special goods such as fresh food and medicine. After a courier company introduced the RFID system, the error rate of goods sorting decreased by 90%, and the transit efficiency increased by 40%, which greatly reduced the operating cost.
In the manufacturing industry, RFID on metal tags have realized the refined management of the entire production process. In the automobile production workshop, each part is attached with an exclusive tag, and the reader collects the part assembly information in real time along the production line to ensure the compliance of the production process and avoid wrong installation and missing installation; when there is a quality problem with the product, the tag can be used to quickly trace key information such as raw material suppliers and production batches, providing accurate basis for problem investigation. In the electronic manufacturing industry, RFID tags can also monitor the storage environment of precision components in real time to prevent product damage caused by abnormal temperature and humidity.
The application of RFID in the medical industry focuses on safety and efficiency improvement. Hospitals equip surgical instruments and emergency equipment with RFID tags, and the real-time location of the equipment can be positioned through the ward reader to avoid time-consuming equipment search in emergency situations; in drug management, the tags record information such as drug validity period and batch number. When the drug is about to expire or needs to be recalled, the system can automatically issue a reminder to ensure drug safety. In addition, RFID tags are also used in patient bracelets to link patient medical record information, reducing medical risks such as infusion errors and confusion of surgical subjects.
In the agricultural field, RFID tags have become the core tool for agricultural product traceability. In livestock and poultry breeding, tags are implanted in animals or worn on their ears to record information such as breeding environment, epidemic prevention, and slaughtering process; consumers can query the full life cycle data of agricultural products by scanning the terminal, realizing full traceability from "farm to table". In the planting industry, tags are used for the management of seeds and fertilizers, helping farmers accurately control the planting process and improve the quality of agricultural products and market competitiveness.
With technological iteration, RFID tags are developing towards miniaturization, low cost and long life, and their application scenarios will be further expanded to fields such as intelligent transportation and public security. As a key node connecting the physical world and the digital world, RFID tags not only reconstruct the management mode of various industries, but also provide a solid technical support for the construction of an intelligent society.
